3. How do I obtain copies of Village records?

Village records may be obtained by filing a Freedom of Information request with the Village Clerk's Office. There is a $0.25 per page charge for photocopies. Oversized documents (maps, drawings, etc.) are sent out for copying and copy charges vary.

4. Where do I obtain a parking permit for the Long Island Rail Road Parking lot?

Annual parking permits (March 1st through February 28th) are available for purchase at the Village Clerk's Office. The Village resident fee is $60.00 (proof of residency required); non-resident fee is $120.00

5. How do I obtain a copy of my Marriage Certificate?

The Village of Freeport does not file and record Marriage Licenses. If you were married within the Town of Hempstead, please contact the Town of Hempstead, Office of the Town Clerk at (516) 489-5000 or visit their website at Town of Hempstead

6. How do I register to vote?

To register to vote for General and Village elections, please contact the Nassau County Board of Elections by calling (516) 571-2411 or you can download the application by visiting the Board of Elections on the Nassau County website at Nassau County
