THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED WIND ADVISORY FROM 1 AM TO NOON SATURDAY AND A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING FOR SATURDAY MORNING INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WINDS...EAST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH

*HAZARD TYPES… HEAVY RAIN, 1 TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE, LIGHTNING, STRONG GUSTY WINDS, STORM DRAINS CLOGGED DUE TO FALLING LEAVES.
* TIMING…LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON

* IMPACTS... URBAN FLOODING, MINOR TO MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING AT TIMES OF HIGH TIDE. TREE BRANCHES AND OR WIRES DOWN.
* TIMES OF HIGH TIDE… SATURDAY 10:52 AM, AND 11:20 PM.

WE ARE ASKING ALL RESIDENTS TO PLEASE SECURE ALL LOOSE ITEMS IN YOUR YARD THAT MAY BLOW AROUND FROM THE EXPECTED STRONG WINDS.

IF YOU LIVE IN A FLOOD PRONE AREA, PLEASE MOVE YOU PERSONAL BELONGINGS TO HIGHER GROUND AND MOVE YOUR CARS OFF THE STREETS AT TIMES OF HIGH TIDE.

VEHICLES CAN BE MOVED TO THE FREEPORT TRAIN STATION PARKING LOT OR ANY OTHER VILLAGE PARKING LOT DURING THIS EVENT.

METERED PARKING RESTRICTIONS WILL BE SUSPENDED FROM SATURDAY MORNING 10 AM UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING 10 AM

WE ARE ASKING ALL RESIDENTS, PLEASE DO NOT MOVE DOWNED WIRES ON YOUR OWN, CALL THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED STREETS.
FREEPORT EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IS MONITORING THIS IMPENDING EVENT AND WILL KEEP EVERYONE ADVISED. PLEASE KEEP YOURSELVES INFORMED VIA TV, OR NOAA RADIO ON RADIO STATION 1690 ON FREEPORT’S EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT’S RADIO STATION 24/7.
