Covid-19 Update From the Village of Freeport

Nassau County has only released numbers on its official site through January 3, 2021. As of January 3, 2021, Nassau experienced an increase of 8.61%. While it represents a decrease over past days, the numbers could change at a moment's notice. Overall numbers in Nassau were (cumulative totals):

We still have a long way to go to get through this second wave. I strongly urge residents to, at all possible, stay home, avoid crowds and gatherings, maintain social distancing and above all, wear a mask.
The Village of Freeport has given out thousands of masks and PPE for free to Village residents. If you, or someone you know, needs a mask, you can pick one up at Village Hall or at the Freeport Recreation Center. If you are unable to get to Village Hall or the Recreation Center, please contact my Office at 516-377-2252 and a mask will be delivered to you. Together, we can begin to lower the numbers in Freeport.

Todavía tenemos un largo camino por recorrer para superar esta segunda ola. Insto encarecidamente a los residentes a que, en todo lo posible, se queden en casa, eviten aglomeraciones y reuniones, mantengan el distanciamiento social y, sobre todo, usen una máscara.
Village of Freeport ha distribuido miles de máscaras y PPE gratis a los residentes de Village. Si usted, o alguien que conoce, necesita una máscara, puede recoger una en Village Hall o en el Freeport Recreation Center.
